Position:
Place in an area with full sun.
Size:
Buena Mulata plants grow to a height of 60 centimetres tall. Space the plants 75 centimetres apart from each other.
Soil type:
This Buena Mulata plant is grown in a Root Stimulating Pot. It’s perfect for small properties or cold climates, as these pots are lightweight and easy to bring indoors during the winter. Additionally, it makes a wonderful gift when presented in a container!
Fertilising:
Use our slow-release nitrogen-rich all plant fertiliser. Apply 1 teaspoon every 4-5 month.
Mulch:
Mulch is a good way of preventing weeds and reducing the rate of water evaporation from the soil.
Apply organic mulch to your tree all year round. Use from 2 to 5 centimetres of pine bark mulch to protect the roots from UV damage and drying out. It retains moisture, and maintains an optimal pH. Do not let the mulch touch the plant stem, as it may cause infection or rot.
Watering:
Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist. In hot weather water your chilli in the RS Pot every day if no rain.
Staking:
Consider staking when your plants grow tall and skinny. This will give the plant upright support and protection against the wind.
